Charles has been asked by the IU Jacobs School of Music Opera Theater to deliver the pre-concert “Informances” for this year’s production of The Mikado. Lectures are given at 7:15 PM in the Musical Arts Center Lobby.

For his work with the IU Conductors’ Orchestra, Charles has been named an Adjunct Lecturer to the Jacobs School of Music.
Charles presents this morning to the International Conductor’s Guild Convention in New York City. As part of the guild’s New Music Project, he will be promoting Jonathan Wey’s Koinonia for Chamber Orchestra.
The Indiana University School of Music has created a new Conductors’ Orchestra. This ensemble will be made up of paid musicians, performing with the IU student conductors. Charles has been appointed manager of the organization.
Charles has been appointed Assistant Conductor to the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic for the 2005-2007 seasons. Charles will also serve as the Music Director of the Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and the Philharmonic Youth Ensemble.
