This website has always contained video clips of my conducting. Starting back in February, I began to post my clips to YouTube. As of today, my fourteen different video clips have been viewed over 20,000 times–and 10,000 of those viewings were just in the past month. At the beginning of the year, I am fairly certain that I was the first conductor to post my own videos of performances on YouTube. One of the great features of YouTube is that users are invited to rate and post comments to video postings. A few comments from my videos:

From Beethoven’s 7th Symphony, Movement II:

Thank you. This interpretation is the best one i know !!!

This is my fav Beethoven piece. Brings me back to my old “band” days. Thanks for posting this and helping share the wealth of music!

You did a great job! Your interpretation balances the romantic aspect of the music but you don’t overdo it like other conductors.

from all the versions that I heard on you tube I like this one best. I like the tempo, it is not too fast.

nice job, Charles. This is one of the more difficult movements to conduct. Just because of tempo. Your’s is great….sounds like Lenny’s

There is a version with Karajan on Youtube. But I prefer listening to this one.

From Serge Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet Suite #2

Charles… excellent stuff!! Thanks so much!! Or, as we say in Russia — SPASIBO!!! :)

God i love this piece. Its so menacing, dont know if its supposed to be, but i just imagine some sort of victorian-era darth vader striding along to this piece

Excellent stuff. Never heard this before and instantly hooked.

From Beethoven’s Egmont Overture:

Very nice conducting and a brilliant sound from the orchestra… beautiful

oh excellent work Charles! Go for it!

This is one of the most powerful pieces ever written. Too many play around with it and completely mess it up, or enfeeble it. This is not a meandering steam, it is a full-blown tsunami, explodingly passionate. The violins have to be snipers, chainsaws. The momentum has to roar. This is in-your-face, busting brutal energy.

Thanks for posting one of my favourites
